Video? Es gibt nur nen neuen Clip vom Octopus Rock Festiival-ist aber halt auch nur ganz kurz und wieder dead tree.
Mal abgesehen von den Gerüchten, dass DeG eventuell in Amerika performen wollen, ist nichts weiteres bekannt..

zumal die WW-tour noch nicht abgeschlossen. also gibts in der richtung noch irgendwie nicht wirklich viel ...
liegt aber nahe dass die davon auch ne DVD rausbringen werden. hat bisher jeder so gemacht.

Dir en grey werden ein zusätzliches Konzert zu ihrer 'It withers and withers' Tour 05 am 2. Oktober im BLITZ in Yokohama geben.
Und als Opening Act soll niemand anderes als Wednesday 13 auftreten.

ich weiß aber nicht ob die tour so um den 2ten Okt endet oder ob da nur dieses Konzert angesetzt is ...

nah, die 'it withers and withers tour' geht der ohp nach bis zum 6.11.
und irgendwie scheinen sie parallel dazu noch drei extra konzerte vom 1.11. - 3.11. am laufen zu haben >>Taste Of Chaos Tour Japan 2005:

tät mich überraschen wenn diru gleich nach dieser tour (wo touren die eigentlich rum dass die noch so lange dauert o_O? *mal schaut auf hp*) was in amerika machen. ok, vielleicht 1 konzert oder 2 ... amerika klingt aber schwer nach USA (+ vielleicht bissi Canada)-Tour. für 1 einziges konzert lohnt sich der aufwand nicht. vor allem wenn man bedenkt was es da alles zu holen gibt.

aber wahrscheinlicher is, dass sie nach der tour an ihrem >bisher härtesten album< arbeiten werden.
kann mir übrigens mal einer sagen wie die das gemacht haben, während der tour eine Single und ein PV zu releasen? x_X

Das is kein Tourtitel, das sind alles andere westlerbands...
Die touren anscheinend zammen... Ich war jetzt zwar nicht auf allen bandhps, aber erwähnt wird die gemeinsame tour nur auf der story of the year-hp - und da sind diru in der auflistung nicht inkludiert XD

da waren einige beim free-will america stand auf der otakon ganz einfach zu voreilig bzw. überheblich und haben ohne sich groß gedanken drüber zu machen 'ne nachricht rausgehauen, die bis jetzt nicht offiziell bestätigt werden konnte, weil bis jetzt eben "nur" _versucht_ wird diru in die usa zu bekommen. solang nichts offiziell ist bleibt es bei gerüchten, vor allem weil afaik free-will ihre aussage insofern zurückgezogen haben, weil sie nichts handfestes haben. es hieß aber es sollten sich um 2-3 konzerte an der ostküste handeln...vor allem haben viele noch diesen winter mit gerechnet...das hieße direkt nach der japan-tour v.v''' *cough* und wahrscheinlich noch in den arbeiten für's neue album...
tatsache is jedenfalls, dass sich die fans jetzt total drüber ärgern und das obwohl sie dem ganzen nicht recht glauben wollten, weil eben nichts offiziell war, sie aber trotzdem drauf gehofft haben...

du meinst nach der derzeitigen 'it withers and withers tour', ne? denk ich zumindest auch.
und zur single...dem uv-interview nach sollen sie es vor und nach der europa tour geschrieben und recordet haben.

This isnt really my news,so I cannot post it verbatum.
As I do have the set list ,but its not mine to post ..

But I got news of the new tour.

You know ,when the guys start a new tour, they are usually a little reserved/rusty/warming up etc .
The reviews I got of the first 2 shows say that they are blowing everyone away .
And I am getting the reports from long time followers who know the difference between Dir shows .
i.e. old dir vs new dir vs apathetic dir

My understanding is , that the shows are so damn good, it is reducing people to tears .
And these are not hysterical fans girls .
These are old old old time fans who have not seen them play together like this in literally years.

But the guys are ...they are just ...blowing the places apart and making the fans go nuts and weep at the end its so damn good .

Toshiya imparticular ,remarked that ,alot of this is due to the fact they were exposed to other places outside of Asia ... ,and playing other places showed them that fans are fans ,everywhere ...
so that fact has changed something somehow ,but he also said that he has missed playing Japan ..
So he was very happy to be playing for his home crowd too..
He is happy again ,which makes me happy,as he was so sad for so long ..

And if no one knows this,this tour is almost all sold out .
Which hasnt happened in a while either..

The set list rocks , the way they are doing them ROCKS ,and the guys are into it ,happy and energetic again .
Its like the Dir en grey from before July of 2002..

And yes,there is a huge difference between that Dir and the Dir you see now .
Not that they are not still great but,there is a difference .
But I am told its just amazing ..

So if anyone is going to see them this tour,expect to be blown completely away .

And the little bits i can tell you about how they look ,as i know you all will want to know ..

Kyos hair is back to platinum blond , and its a bonafide mullet ...
Die and Kao are interacting on stage again , and Die is very playful onsatge again ,instead of being all intense and withdrawn .
Toshiya is VERY happy now,and the pix of him in magazines and the vid are not doing jutice to how great he looks blond .
Kao wore a suit and would not take it off, so no one saw his new tat up close..sorry guys .

Dies hair is red and black .
Like down the middle
Its long ,and part it in the middle, and its black on one side and red on the other .
And as weird as that sounds ,it looks great .

Shinya is...well Shinya ,dude is always the same ..
But its great
They are great ..
So i am happy ,for them and the fans ..

Wenn ihr mal beim Zeitschriftenhändler eures Vertrauens seid, nehmt die Legacy zur Hand. Anscheinend hat einer der jornalisten einen artikel über das diru-konzert geschrieben, der unter aller sau war, sodass sich ein haufen visuals genug beleidigt gefühlt hat, um seitenlange diru-verteidigungs-leserbriefe zu schreiben *gröhl* bei bedarf kann ich auch mal scannen ^^

...Und die frau, die sich über die falsche schreibweise des bandnamens mockiert, schreibt visuel kei. aufglegt.

Den Konzert-bericht würde ich eher mal lesen, denn ich will den Grund wissen. Ich such mal, ob jemand die ausgabe hat (oder sich die Zeitung kauft).

also zumindest killswitch engage und funeral for a friend sind ziemlich.. etablierte bands also würd ich nicht annehmen, dass die die supportdeppen spielen, die sich mit tomaten bewerfen lassen dürfen XD

so wie ich es verstanden habe, wird withering to death. in deutschland, frankreich und in den usa veröffentlicht werden. Allerdings nicht die japanische version, sondern eine mit einem bonus dvd clip. Je Land entweder the final, saku oder kodou. [die cd soll weniger als 15€ kosten....also wahrschienlich 14,99€ |D]
ich glaub dann gäbe es insgesamt 6 versionen des albums XD


edit: mtv soll 21ten abends das clever sleazoid pv ausstrahlen. Obs allerdings nur in franze ist weiß man bis jetzt noch nicht.

(Aber für andere Bands gibt man nun mal 50€ für ne Karte aus - eben die, die seit 20 Jahren erfolgreich sind).

na, es war nie die rede davon diru wäre opening act für irgendne westlerband o.o''' mal abgesehn davon, dass wed13 opening act am 2.10. sein werden, aber nich umgekehrt...im gegensatz zu merry v.v'''''''''' *sich immer noch drüber argert* taste of chaos is afaik ein event, welches ua auch in japan stattfindet.

Nachdem Dir en grey hier in Europa überwiegend an Events teilgenommen haben werden sie nun auch in Japan nach längerer Zeit einmal wieder auf Events auftreten. -How was the tour “It withers and withers” for you?

Kaoru :Even thought we replaced music that we played, there was no change in the mind. Because it is always the same what we wanna take out on the stage. Still, as we continued our lives, what we take out go deeper for sure. The question is, which path we make them go, right? Either even more destructive way, or proceeding it in a constructive way. Actually, we reconstructed our band in various ways. It had its unique rhythm by birth and we were always with it, but the album this time, if we were still the same, it might would have been monotonous. So, we were intending to make more big waves in one song. It’s hard to conduct ourselves in words. Then, we asked for advice from technicians about from basics to professional things. It worked well since about in the middle of the tour, and you might have seen something completely different from what you’d seen in the previous tours. Before, our feelings were ahead in front, and it was just sort of a coolness of collapse, but this time, it seemed to have increased more and more of power of persuasion.

Kyo : in short, I just did fully what I could do. In the latter half of the tour, my voice began to break, and come to think of it, it (=the main contents of the live throughout the tour) started since that time. The progress of the live was created almost well, but I fought by breaking it down and from the “zero”, I performed with things that came out of me on their own. I wanted to express my emotions more realistically than before. You know, such as dissatisfaction and other kinds of emotions. Directly realistically..

-There were some of people who were dumbfounded to see such a live, especially at ??? STUDIO COAST.

Kyo : I hope I could give any messages with it and if it could, it’s ok for me. I guess some people feel anything by listening to songs, but I don’t really aim for that kind of a thing.

-I think songs and words are things that go through ears and understood with mind, absorbed with heart. But at the live at??? STUDIO COAST, there were scenes that you sang just with voice that didn’t have any words.You sang directly just with the emotion right?

Kyo :Yeah, but if there were 30 lives more, I would have surely nearly died mentally. As the tour was reaching its end, I was becoming more and more tough actually. But the live itself was becoming better and better, it’s dilemma.

-I could see you were continuing the live by sacrificing your body and the feelings.

Kyo : But I think that was what my style should be. When I keep singing songs with that kind of emotion, I go and break mentally.

-You realized various things like that, and you went to the live and the “fes” in Europe. Did you get new emotions or anything else there?

Kaoru : I didn’t get influenced to change ourselves by seeing how bands were over there. There was a difference only in a sense of how to experience. I admit that I regret that I couldn’t really express myself well in the 30 minutes at the “fes”. Yet still, our band itself, music, and the things what we were doing on the stage didn’t get influenced by them at all. It was a good experience of how the “one-man” was getting the heat wildly, it was new for me and I went excited. Even still, there was no specific influence than things in Japan.

-When you were at the “fes”, you said “this reminds me of days when we were still in Kyoto and Osaka” didn’t you?

Kyo : Yep, since there were many people who didn’t know us at all, they saw us absent-mindedly. I missed that kind of a scene. And of course as Kaoru-kun said, I felt a difference in experiencing from bands there. That’s all about what I thought.

-Did you find any changes in yourselves?

Kaoru :If any, I thought I would keep going further in my way. And also, we would get more and more tough as a band. Bands at the “fes” were guys who never went nervous at all in the backstage. And once they got on the stage, they exploded like “boom!”. You go like “what the fuck..” (lol). I am not saying we should be like that, but I wanna get tougher so that we can show absolute power on the stage.

-But after the stage, people’s reaction there changed didn’t it?

Kaoru : I think it was just unusual for them. There was unique atmosphere in the music and the stage, and our band was something like they have never seen before. What I heard were just “amazing!” and “crazy!”. I didn’t know what else they were talking about (lol)

-Even though you felt like mortified, that was not a bad evaluation anyway.

Kaoru :Yeah that’s right, but the important thing is how we would do from now. It’s not really that we attended the “fes” just to make some memories (lol). Overseas are not for Japan.

Kyo : It was good if we performed a GREAT live. But what we did was just performed A live there. We cannot be too proud of it, if we did..stupid (lol)

Kaoru : Especially if we released a DVD of our oversea lives boastingly. That would be too shameful (lol). It was just a live for the first time this time.

-The new single “CLEVER SLEAZOID” was created before and after the Europe-live. I think this song is condensed with elements that you are the most good at. What kind of the mind did you have when you were making this?

Kaoru : I didn’t have any particular things in the mind. If I think of anything, music never goes out. Even if anything went out, it wouldn’t be interesting if within an image. It is fresher for me to form a thing from a phrase that comes up suddenly while playing the guitar. It is more like I squeeze it out, than it comes up or it falls down by itself. And if I find anything out of them, I magnify them with things what we have to be bigger and bigger.

-Only because it was not actually what you aimed for, was your core in the front?

Kaoru :I guess..so..maybe. For a performer, if you said so, maybe that’s right. I have a strong feeling that I put only intense(violent) parts in it anyway. Before, even in a intense song, there used to be a bit of inorganic parts and atmosphere included. There were not really many songs that kept being just intense.

-Just one Japanese line and its musical piece go differently than other sections. And it makes the Japanese sounds wonderful. Did come from a discussion of all the members?

Kaoru : Nope, Kyo-kun worked on the lyrics. I remember he asked me if he should write it in English, but he wondered if it would be taken strangely because it was right after the live overseas. And I told him, writhe whatever you wanna write.

-The reason why it was in English was, it was better for the melody in English right?

Kyo : That’s right. It would have not been really interesting if it were all in English, and I thought it would be interesting if I made only 1 part in Japanese where its musical atmosphere was different and showed the contrastive meaning from other parts of the lyrics. Actually the way of singing its part is really Japanese-like.

Kaoru : The Japanese part, also the words suit me very much.
-When I first heard the song, since I am not a bilingual, I didn’t understand the English lyrics. But from this song, I felt emotional process of, anger the first, and it turned into sadness little by little, and it turned into sobbing in the end.

Kyo : Yeah. I think Western-style music lacks of this aspect. They sing just anger if it was anger, if sorrow, it’s just sorrow. I think I can blend them well. And it’s my originality.

-You don’t feel almost any border from the difference of languages when taking out emotions, right?

Kyo : Not at all. I wanted to make it understood just from listening to the music, even if they wouldn’t understand the words. I mainly thought about this thing. I thought I would pronounce it well, but I didn’t think it was a big deal. If I cared for such a thing, that’s not me. I have something more important.

-The words of the song title “CLEVER” and “SLEAZOID”, they have contractive meanings. What do you really mean by them?

Kyo : I think most of the people around me are like that. There are so many people who are affable to everyone except their families. And nobody knows what they really think inside of them. But I sing also for such people right?. The contradiction, I feel sorry for people who live purely(honestly). I feel it lonesome. That is what the Japanese part says.

-I see. I personally feel it like a drama to meet such a song timingly. There was a live at ??? STUDIO COAST that you tried to go over the limit, experiences overseas, and here we have an aggressive song that would carry on the band’s core. I find this path dramatic.

Kaoru : Yeah..maybe. I think we chose only intense songs in end of the “whole tour” (lol). We were more like choosing intense songs than ones that we would try to make them listen to them.

-Were you in the aggressive mode since those days?

Kaoru : Nah, I don’t know. I guess we were feeling like that kind of a direction, maybe.

-Because music and lyrics are reflected by their composers’ and writers’ will.

Kaoru : It’s more like it has got to include something, than reflection. In order to release a song to make people listen to, it’s got to have some will(vision), or it would end up with being cheap. It’s no use of releasing it, if so.

-“Standing Tour” begins from September. What is each of you expecting for it?

Kaoru : I don’t think I should think too much about live, for a sudden power. Because if I imagine anything in the mind, I think I would be controlled by it. It would be vain if I didn’t take out what I felt in the place and the moment anyway. This is what our unassuming stance is. It must have passed from its previous live, and the way we feel about each song also must have changed naturally, so it would be impossible to be the same live. Even if it seemingly looked alike, there must be something different you can see. And if I would add one thing, I wanna make the stage more powerful. I guess I felt mortified over there(in Europe) in this meaning. And those guys are all huge. They go too well with the sound (lol). Everybody looks like a Pantera(?). It’s unfair. We all look thin and fragile but we wanna seek something powerful from inside of ourselves, not looks.

Kyo: So, we will purely just “do it”.

- das mit dem, dass diru ne vorgruppe is hab ich mir gedacht weil gesagt wurde, sie treten zusammen mit westler-bands auf. und anschließend hat wer anderer gesagt dass die westler etablierter sind, und da es ja so is, dass die unbekanntere band meist die vorgruppe is, dachte ich diru wird bei einem USA-auftritt vorband von irgend einer ami-band sein.
wusste nicht dass taste of Chaos ect. kein amerikanisches sondern ein japanisches festival is.
